M4 81mm Mortar Carrier - Smart Kit

The M2 Halftrack is an armored halftrack manufactured in the United States during World War II.
Its design was inspired by French half-tracks imported from France in the 1930s.
Standard components from US truck manufacturers were used to speed up production and reduce costs.

The M4 mortar carrier was based on the M2 half-track.
The mortar was installed in the rear fighting compartment and was directed to the rear.
The side ammunition compartments were retained and additional storage compartments for 81mm mortar shells were installed behind the normal storage boxes.
A rear door was also installed on the M4.
