Production of the M4A3E8 versions began in late 1944.
Nicknamed the "Easy Eight," the M4A3E8 received several upgrades that improved the Sherman's operational efficiency.
The vehicle was fitted with the 76mm M1 high-velocity gun and a new Horizontal Suspension System (HVSS) that ensures a softer ride condition and higher speed.
The "Easy Eight" took part in the final stages of World War II and actively participated in the Korean War alongside the M26 Pershing and M46 Patton.
