British Main Battle Tank Chieftain Mk. 10
MENG-TS051
MENG MODEL
1:35
It was the main equipment of the British Army between the 1960s and the 1980s and was built in many variants.
As firepower and protection were paramount, this tank was equipped with the most advanced 120mm gun (L11A5) in the world at the time. The excellent performance of the gun made the Chieftain famous.
The hull front and the turret were covered with thick cast iron armour.
The tanks from Mk10 onwards received the Stillbrew additional armour for extra protection.
The later installation of the 750 hp engine also improved the poor mobility of the earlier variants.
