The tank can also fire 9M119M Refleks anti-tank missiles
These missiles have a maximum range of 5 km and can destroy low-flying helicopters.
The secondary armament consists of a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun and a 12.7 mm machine gun mounted on the roof.
The T-80U main battle tank was originally produced with a GTD-1000TF gas turbine engine with an output of 1100 hp.
Tanks produced in the early 1990s were equipped with a more powerful GTD-1250 gas turbine engine with 1250 hp.
The T-80UK is a command tank equipped with various night vision devices, sensors and extended radio equipment.
