Soviet Main Battle Tank T-62 (1974 - 1975)

During the 10-year production period, about 20,000 T-62 tanks were built.
During this period the tank has not changed significantly.
All improvements were mainly limited to the installation of modern equipment and weapons.
Due to a new threat in the form of helicopters armed with anti-tank guided missiles, the anti-aircraft machine gunner was reinstalled on the T-62 in the early 1970s.
For this purpose, the turret was modified by replacing the tilted cargo hatch with a more spacious horizontal hatch with a turret and K-10T scope.
This T-62 has a 12.7 mm DShKM machine gun with a rate of fire of 600 rounds per minute.
The T-62 was used extensively in the conflicts in Afghanistan, Syria and the Gulf War.
