Semovente M43 da 105/25 Bassotto

The M43 105/25 "Bassotto" assault gun was developed by Italian industry to increase the offensive power of the armoured forces and armoured artillery of the Royal Italian Army.
The M43 was based on the modified, widened, and lowered chassis of the M15/42 tank and was equipped with a casemate-mounted Ansaldo 105/25 howitzer.
The armour was also improved.
It entered service in limited numbers in 1943 and participated in operations on the Italian front.
It is considered the most powerful Italian armored vehicle of World War II and, thanks to its excellent balance of mobility and firepower, was effective both offensively and defensively.
After the Italian Armistice, several units were captured and successfully used by German troops, who renamed the "Bassotto" the "StuG M43 with 105/25."
