Flakpanzer IV Ausf. G "Wirbelwind" Early

With air superiority in the skies gone, German forces needed an alternative in the second half of World War II.
One of their solutions was to develop anti-aircraft tanks like the Whirlwind.
The proven chassis of the Pz.Kpfw.IV was chosen as the basis and equipped with the new turret, which was equipped with a 20 mm Flak38 quadruple that could fire up to 800 rounds per minute.
The Whirlwind was used on the Western Front from August 1944 and proved to be a threat not only to Allied pilots but also in support of ground combat.
