The ZTZ96B is the latest variant of the ZTZ96.
The type test of the ZTZ96B began in the second half of 2016.
The test was completed and this tank entered service in the second half of 2017.
But before that, this tank has already participated in the tank biathlon in 2016 and 2017.
In the tough competition environment, the ZTZ96B performed well, taking second and third places respectively.
