Plastic kit to build a Soviet T-54A

This version closely resembled the earlier T-54 Model 1951 but introduced the D-10TG gun with the Gorizont (Horizon) vertical-plane gun stabilization system. The D-10 100mm gun was modified with a new fume extractor at this point. Internal improvements included a new multi-stage air cleaner and radiator controls for improved engine performance. Series production began in the USSR in the autumn of 1954, in Poland in 1956(continuing until 1964) and in Czechoslovakia from 1958 through 1964. The polish vehicles had differences from the Soviet types due to modernization by the Military Institute of Armored Vehicle and Automotive Engineering. China began manufacturing this type under license as the Type 59.
