The dozer blade was first used on WW II American & British tank. After WW II, the Russian developed their famous dozer blade “BTU-55” and widely fitted with T-54/55 tanks. The device on the front of the BTU-55 Dozer blade is a depth regulator to prevent the blade from digging in excessively and stopping the tank.
