The M113A1 (FS) with a Scorpion turret was an Australian variant of the M113.
As the Medium Reconnaissance Vehicle designation indicates, the MRVs served as reconnaissance vehicles and were used by cavalry regiments.
The MRV replaced the FSV.
It remained in service with the Australian Army until 1996.
