The Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) M2 Bradley is closely related to the more common Cavalry Fighting vehicle (IFV) M3 Bradley.
The differences between the M2 and M3 are subtle.
For example, the M3 CFV has no firing ports in the rear hull, but also has more TOW replacement missiles and other ammunition stores.
After the Gulf War, the IFV was converted into the M2A2 ODS. This ‘Operation Desert Storm’ variant had a laser rangefinder, a tactical navigation system, a thermal imaging camera for the driver, a missile defence device and a Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below system.
