With the approx. 750 hp (550 kW) diesel engine, it could reach a top speed of up to 50 km/h. The 4-man crew operated the 105mm cannon and a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun. There were also additional machine guns on the turret. The Shot was used on the Sinai Peninsula and proved its strengths on the Golan Heights. The Merkava gradually replaced it until the last Shot was retired in 1992.
