
The original British Mk.I tank was designed to break the deadlock; the Mk.V was a later model based on many of the same design principles.
A "Male" variant was designed to break through enemy lines, and featured large 6 pounder cannons in addition to machine guns, unlike the "Female" variant which was armed only with machine guns.
