The Loyd Carrier was a small full-track vehicle for transporting material and personnel like the Universal Carrier. It was built from 1939 onwards and used by the British and other Commonwealth armies. There were slight differences in design depending on use. The most common variant was as a tractor for QF2, QF6 pounder Pak or the ML 4.2 inch mortar.

A total of about 26,000 Loyd Carriers were built and were still in service after WW2 until the 1960s with the Belgian, Dutch and Danish armies, among others.
