The 155mm gun motor carriage M12 was an American self-propelled gun developed during World War II.
It was equipped with a 155mm gun derived from the French field gun Canon de 155 mm GPF and mounted on the chassis of the M3 Grant tank.
The motor was moved forward to the middle of the vehicle to allow the heavy gun to be mounted at the rear.
