The M3 Stuart was an American light tank of World War II.
It was supplied to British and other Commonwealth forces on lend-lease prior to US entry into the war. Thereafter, it was used by US and Allied forces until the end of the war.
4,621 examples of the M3A1 (Stuart III) were produced from May 1942 to February 1943.
It received a new turret with a turret basket, no cupola, a stabilizer for the gun was installed. The bow machine guns have been removed.
