Developed from 1943, the T34 (Calliope) rocket launcher was a tank-mounted multiple rocket launcher used by the US Army during World War II. The launcher was placed on top of the M4 Sherman, with its distinctive vertical side frames anchored to the sides of the turret.
A barrage of 114mm M8 rockets could be fired from 60 launch tubes.
The system was manufactured in small numbers and used by various US units in 1944–45.
