The Northrop N-3PB Nomad was a single-engine American seaplane built in the 1940s.
The N-3PB was developed as an export model based on the earlier Northrop A-17.
Norway bought a total of 24 aircraft, but they were not delivered until after Norway's defeat in World War II.
The Norwegian Armed Forces in exile used them from Iceland from 1941 onwards for convoy escort, submarine patrols and training purposes from "Little Norway" in Canada.
