Two tank prototypes were sent to Hungary for remanufacturing and production into domestic products called “Turan”.
Several different versions were developed on the basis of the new tank.
One of these was the 75 mm tank destroyer “Zlini” I.
The Zrinyi I was an attempt to install the German 7.5cm PaK.40 L/43 anti-tank gun in an enlarged 44M Zrinyi I fighting compartment.
Conceptually it was similar to the Jagdpanzer IV, but was built on a smaller hull.
An experimental vehicle was completed and tested in 1943, but was not produced as Germany later provided the Hungarian army with better tanks.
The operating weight of the “Zlini” I was 22 tons and the maximum armour thickness was 75 mm.
