Equipped with a long, powerful L/70 7.5cm gun superior to those used by the Allies, the Jagdpanzer IV /70(V) Lang proved to be a formidable opponent after its introduction towards the end of World War II.
The "Lang" in its name was added to distinguish it from its predecessor with the shorter 7.5cm L/48 gun.
The design with the wedge-shaped glacis plate and the use of the Panzer IV chassis was adopted from the L/48 variant.
930 Jadgpanzer IV /70(V) Lang were produced between August 1944 and March 1945 and proved themselves at the front, such as: B. in the Ardennes from December 1944, where their extraordinary range and effectiveness put the Allied forces in trouble until the end.
