The Tiger I was a heavy German tank of the Second World War, which was used from 1942 onwards.
Normally organised in independent heavy tank battalions.
It provided the German army with its first tank to utilise the 8.8cm KwK 36 gun (derived from the 8.8cm Flak 36).
1347 tanks were built between August 1942 and August 1944.
The famous "TiKi" from the "Das Reich" division was used by the 8th/SS-Pz.Rgt.2.
It is unclear what the name refers to, whether it is the girlfriend of a crew member or a short form of "Tiger Kind" (i.e. Tiger Child).
This armoured company was raised in November 1942 and had its first deployment in Kharkov.
Decals for the tank with the number "812" are included, a turret number that was used until April 1943. "
TiKi" was destroyed later that year after taking part in the Battle of Kursk
