In the delivery catalog for US military vehicles you can find a 1 ½ ton truck under the number G 506, which was then produced by Chevrolet between 1940 and the final end of the war in August 1945 in the G 7100 series (initially G 4100). The standard chassis had a wheelbase of approximately 3.68 m (145 inches) and was used as a transport, tipping, panel van and box body for most variants. It was powered by a 62 kW (83 hp) 6-cylinder petrol engine. This allowed him to reach a top speed of up to 77 km/h. As the name suggests, the payload was up to 1.5 tons. In total, over 150,000 of these trucks were produced and sold by the U.S. armed forces and its allies, particularly through the Land&Lease agreement and was also by civilian organizations.
