The Willy's MD or M38A1 Truck was a four-wheel drive light military utility vehicle manufactured by Willys and Willys Motors/Kaiser Jeep from 1952 to 1971.
It was procured on a large scale for the US military from 1952 to 1957.
The M38A1C was a modified version armed with a 106mm M40A1 recoilless rifle.
They were armed with a .50 caliber M8C semi-automatic tracing rifle.
A slot for the barrel of the marching position gun was provided in the windshield frame.
