The GAZ-69 is a 4x4 truck manufactured by the former Soviet Union that looks very similar to the US Army's World War II Dodge WC51 medium truck and WC57 command vehicle.
The Gorky Automobile Plant began development in 1953 and produced the first GAZ-69 prototype in 1955.
Although later it was decided that the vehicle would be officially mass-produced by the UAZ plant, the original technology was still used and the name was also called UAZ-69, but people still usually call this car GAZ-69.
The GAZ-69 was originally designed as a two-door light truck capable of carrying eight infantrymen or half a ton of cargo.
It was powered by a 55 hp four-valve engine.
The GAZ-69A is a variant of the GAZ-69 that was designed as a 4-door off-road vehicle that can carry 5 soldiers.
These two main models were manufactured by UAZ until 1972; There are several other models with different functions in this vehicle series such as: B. GAZ-69M (export model - with 69 HP engine), GAZ-69B maintenance vehicle and GAZ-69E radio command vehicle.
