The T17E1 Armoured Car was an American-built armoured car used by the British and other Commonwealth forces during World War II under the name Staghound.
It was never used at the front by the US forces.
The T17E2 was a T17E1 fitted with a Frazer-Nash designed turret in which two .50 calibre M2 Browning machine guns were mounted.
1000 units were produced between October 1943 and April 1944.
