The Sd.Kfz.251 armored personnel carrier was a half-track vehicle that was used extensively by the Wehrmacht during World War II.
Thanks to its powerful Maybach six-cylinder engine, it was able to reach a speed of 55 km/h even on difficult terrain.
It was used primarily as an infantry fighting vehicle; During the war, however, numerous versions were produced to meet increasingly specific operational requirements.
The throwing frame rocket launcher version was implemented on the Sd.Kfz.251.
It was equipped with 6 packing boxes, 3 on each side. These could fire rockets of various sizes and was nicknamed "Stuka on foot".
Although not precise, it could have an important psychological effect on enemy troops and proved valuable support to ground forces.
