The M2A3 Bradley is characterized by the Bradley Urban Survival Kit (BUSK) III additional armor.
This improves the level of protection of the armored personnel carrier in urban environments and includes aspects such as explosive roof seats, wire mesh to protect optics, a transparent shield for the commander, air conditioning systems and explosive reactive armor (ERA).
A full BUSK adds approximately 3 tons to the weight of the Bradley.
