A new vehicle was planned - the 5.5 cm twin Flakpanzer V - which, like the Flakpanzer V "Coelian", never went into production.
Development of the 5.5 cm twin was approved on May 8, 1944 and featured a special Krupp tank turret weighing 9.06 tons mounted on a Panther Ausf.G hull.
The anti-aircraft vehicle would have required a crew of four.
A wooden prototype turret was completed in January 1945, and further development was finally stopped on February 14, 1945.
