In 1944, the German armed forces fielded a new heavy tank - the Tiger II.
The first fifty examples were produced with a Porsche-designed turret, after which a Henschel turret was used for mass production.
The King Tiger, equipped with an 8.8cm L/71 cannon and armor of up to 150mm on the front and 80mm on the sides, provided a service to Allied forces during the desperate German offensive in December 1944 represents great danger.
