The G version was the most produced variant of the Pzkpfw V Panther and replaced the A version in production from 1944.
The chassis was designed to be cheaper and further improvements were continuously incorporated into production. Vehicles of the final version had, among other things, a modified engine deck and a modified roller cover.
With its 7.5cm 42L/70 battle car cannon and bullet-repellent shapes, the Panther proved to be a dangerous opponent.
The V-12-cylinder Maybach HL 230P30 gasoline engine with 700 hp maximum output enabled the 44,800 kg Panther Ausf. G to reach a top speed of up to 55 km/h.
The crew consisted of five men.
