BM-30 Smerch - Multiple Rocket Launch System

The Smerch multiple rocket launcher system is designed to combat various group targets such as troop accumulations, unarmored and armored vehicles, artillery and anti-aircraft systems, command posts and other military facilities.
Smerch is equipped with 12 tubes for firing 300 millimeter caliber projectiles and can cover a target area of up to 60 hectares.
It has been in use in Russia since 1989 and has been exported to many other countries.
A wide range of missiles with a range of 70 to 90 km have been developed for the Smerch MRLS.
