One of the most numerous of them was the V3000S, which had been built in German Ford factories in Cologne since 1941.
This truck was equipped with a V8 engine and had only rear-wheel drive.
V3000S trucks were in use in all German branches of the armed forces until the end of the war.
The vehicles had little off-road capability, so a large number of V3000S were produced as mule half-track vehicles.
In total, around 25,000 V3000S were built in German, French and Dutch factories between 1941 and 1946.
