M-3VDA twin 20mm AA (Close air Defence)

M3 VDA (Véhicule de Défense Antiaérienne) air defense variant, armed with two Hispano-Suiza 820 SL 20 mm machine guns in a one-man turret.
The weapons have a maximum elevation of +85° and a depression of -5°, as well as a cyclic rate of fire of 200-1000 rounds per minute when the vehicle is stabilized by four hydraulic supports.
There are 650 rounds of 20 mm ammunition on board.
The tower is powered and can be rotated 360° in three seconds or raised to maximum height in two seconds.
It is also equipped with an ESD RA-20 Doppler radar that can track four incoming targets simultaneously at a distance of 8 km.
The VDA was the heaviest M3 variant ever put into production, weighing over 7 tonnes.
