From 1937 to 1944, over 78,000 medium-sized 3-ton 4x2 Opel Blitz trucks were produced and became the most famous German army trucks in World War II.
It had a durable chassis with rear-wheel drive and a large loading area that allowed for excellent loading capacity.
They were used to transport troops and supplies on all fronts until the end of the war.
The last models of the Opel Blitz had a material-saving driver's cab, the rear wall of which was made of wood (standard driver's cab).
