The UAZ-469 is a light four-wheel drive off-road vehicle manufactured by UAZ.
It was used by the Red Army and other Warsaw Pact forces, as well as paramilitary units in the Eastern Bloc countries.
It was also widely used in the Soviet Union by any government organization that required a robust off-road vehicle.
The UAZ-469 was introduced in 1973 and replaced the earlier GAZ-69.
It offered two major advantages: it could drive on virtually any terrain and it was very easy to repair.
