The SH-3H is a large twin-engine anti-submarine warfare turbine helicopter of the US Navy. It was adopted as a successor to the HSS-1 helicopter previously used by the Navy.

Since it was developed as a carrier-based helicopter, the five main rotor blades are designed to fold automatically. The tail boom in the tail rotor also has a folding mechanism.
The hull features a waterproof semi-monocoque boat structure. In combination with the auxiliary float on the side of the fuselage, good water landing performance is possible.

The engine is equipped with two T-58 turboshaft engines connected in parallel. High performance can be guaranteed and safety is also high in the unlikely event of engine damage.
The Seaking is equipped with the latest anti-submarine warfare equipment. Even when fighter jets take off from aircraft carriers, it is also used as a rescue and transport helicopter.
