An aircraft that has trained thousands of pilots and enabled thousands more to enjoy exhilarating flight, the Chipmunk took over this important role from the venerable Tiger Moth in 1950.
One of the longest-serving RAF types, the Chipmunk still provides training and support to the pilots of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
