The Su-27 Flanker is a single-seat, twin-engine Mach 2-class fighter jet originally built in the Soviet Union and designed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau.
It was intended as a direct competitor to the large US fighters of three generations, with a range of 3530 kilometers, heavy armament, sophisticated avionics and high maneuverability.
