Its history began in the late 50s and ended with some air forces in the mid-2000s.
The unique airframe with a slim fuselage and very small wing area made this aircraft ideal for the role of an interceptor.
Due to the thrust of its General Electric J79-GE-11A afterburning turbojet engine, it could exceed Mach 2.2 at a premium climb rate.
With this scale model kit, model makers can recreate the famous “Starfighter” cockpit with the typical interior layout of the fighters of the 50s and 60s, in which many former NATO pilots served.
The fine details of the instrument panel typical of this period are complemented by the extremely accurate reproduction of the Martin-Baker ejection seat.
