Turan I Hungarian Medium Tank

The Turan was a Hungarian tank whose design was based on the Czech LT vz.35. Weighing 18.2 tons, it reached speeds of up to 47 km/h with its 260 hp engine. The crew of 5 operated the vehicle with a 40mm cannon and two 8mm MGs. Until 1943, 285 Turan I were built.

At the outbreak of World War II, it would certainly have been successful with its 40mm cannon, but already at the Battle of Stalingrad it became apparent that both armour and armament were no longer adequate.
