Towards the end of the Second World War, the world's heaviest and most powerful fighter tank of its time was developed and produced.
The Jagdtiger was equipped with a 12.8-cm gun with a long barrel.
Based on the chassis of the Königstiger, it was about 30 cm longer than the latter.
It received a casemate superstructure with 250mm thick front armour, which was unique for this vehicle.
The Jagdtiger first appeared in the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944 and fought mainly against Allied forces in West Germany from January 1945.
Until the end of the war, the Jagdtiger threatened Allied forces from a distance of 3000 m or more.
