The British Special Air Service (SAS) was formed in 1941 and was involved in various commando missions during the Second World War, including conducting surprise attacks on key locations such as airfields and supply bases behind enemy lines.

These vehicles were also equipped with various equipment as well as additional spare fuel tanks to enable long-range operations.
This vehicle was used intensively on the North African front.
