The M-3/M-3A1 was a lightly armored wheeled reconnaissance vehicle produced in the USA, which was a mass product with over 20,000 units built and was also delivered in large numbers on a lend-and-lease basis to allies such as Great Britain or the USSR. The vehicle, which weighed over 5.5 tons, reached a top speed of around 90 km/h, depending on the source, and could transport a total of 8 soldiers. The armament usually consisted of a cal .30 or a cal .50 machine gun. The vehicle could be found in almost all theaters of war in World War II and was used by many countries afterwards up until the 1990s.
