But it wasn't until 1936 that a small, lightweight car with a water-cooled 569 cc engine called the “Topolino 500A” finally appeared.
The delivery van, derived from the “Topolino 500A”, was manufactured from 1937.
When it came out there was only a single driver's seat.
Later series models were added with two seats and were produced until 1948.
The car has a top speed of 85 kilometers per hour.
Due to the outbreak of war, many “Topolino” were incorporated into the Italian and German Wehrmacht for military purposes.
Many of these vehicles were captured by the Allies and used repeatedly.
In 1948 the “Topolino 500A” was replaced by the “Topolino 500B” with a new and improved engine.
