This combat vehicle was developed taking into account the experience gained from work on the AT-1 (based on the T-26).
It had a combat weight of 13.5 tonnes, a crew of three. The main armament was to be a 76.2mm gun (L-10 or L-11) with vertical guidance angles of -2 to +60 degrees and horizontal - +/- 15 degrees without turning the vehicle.
Two DT machine guns (7.62mm) were also planned for, and one would be placed in a ball bearing to the right of the gun barrel, the second machine gun would be a spare and could be used for self-defence (or as an anti-aircraft on the roof of the superstructure).
The casemate was to be encased in 15 mm armour plate.
This project was not produced as by this time the BT-7A production artillery tank was already in production.
